Ballibay is a summer sleep-away arts camp for boys and girls ages 6 through 16. We offer a wide range of non-competitive fine and performing arts camp activities in a fun, friendly, and authentic summer camp setting. We are located on an exquisitely beautiful 175-acre mountaintop campus in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our sessions range from 2 to 7 weeks in length.
We offer exciting programs in theater, the visual arts, music, dance, video, radio, and rock-n-roll music. We have an outstanding horseback riding program, swimming instruction, and daily sports activities.
Our program is completely individual choice: campers can focus on a single activity all day, pick several to focus on, or try a little of everything! For campers who know what they want to do all day, we offer dance camp and rock camp intensive programs. Our 3-week and 4-week programs are perfect for campers who want to do theater, art, or music all day, or try a little of everything!
Camp Ballibay was established in 1964, and is American Camping Association accredited.
Registration for 2010 is open, with terrific early enrollment discounts for families registering before January 1, 2010. Click here for details.
Said one long-time camping professional who visited us this summer and enjoyed a meal from our dining hall. Visit our food website to read more, and hear about it from the kids themselves in this video.
Plus More Food Education and Gardening!
For 2010 we will continue to put great food at the top of our priorities by adding a 24' x 110' addition to the current facilities, effectively doubling our dining area, and nearly tripling the size of our kitchen; the largest expansion at Ballibay since the construction of the new camp office in 1996. Our new staff directory allows families to get to know our teachers, counselors, and Counselors in Training. Staff can be viewed by specialty, or by categories such as "returning staff," or "staff whose children attend camp," &c...
We shot all camper performances in 4-camera live-switched high definition video last summer, as always with campers on the cameras and behind the switcher! Campers watch videos from their Ballibay summers for years and years, and we have always prided ourselves in teaching and producing professional-quality video. See this video on our Facebook page for an example of the amazing difference in quality!
Parents say that our excellent, well-maintained campus and facilities are extremely impressive; but many families don't get a sense of our campus until they are dropping off or picking up their campers, and our international families rarely see our campus. So we have embarked on a major project to model our campus in Google Earth. Download this file and open it in Google Earth to see our project-in-progress.
Our thanks to Vitamix and Sodastream for their generous donations to the camp kitchen this summer. We are receiving such support for our new foodservice from campers, families, staff, and now the larger food-minded world. Thank You! Here are some photos from the smoothie bar we've been setting up on opening days to refresh parents dropping off their kids!

Thanks to Ballibay, my son returned with an appreciation for many things; nurtitious foods... lots of different types of music, new friends, an appreciation for the arts in general and most importantly, an appreciation for experiences in life that challenge you to grow and leave you with memories for lifetime.
Cranla, Camp Mom - Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
There is nothing else in the world like Ballibay. Wanda has a Ballibay "glow" all year because of the people you bring together and the experiences you all create. Thank you.
Jennifer, Camp Mom - San Antonio, TX.
He had an awesome time @ Ballibay this summer, and has finally become himself, he looks more comfortable in his skin. I can see how much he enjoys performing and improving his bass and singing technique, and he has made so many friendships. He loves Ballibay!!
Bruni, Camp Mom - Brooklyn, NY.
I love Camp Ballibay because I see how happy it makes my kids. Ballibay has helped shape who they are. They're already counting days until they return.

It's so gratifying to read, "I'm having so much fun at camp. I love it here so much!" in her most recent letter. She's been loving the dance, theatre, and art programs, and knowing my daughter, I bet she's participating in many other activities as well.
Iona, Camp Mom - NY, NY.
Ballibay has made a major impact on Sarah's life... Thank you and the Ballibay team for providing such a positively magical place...
Cynthia, Camp Mom - Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Santi and Paula are having a great time, even better than last year, now that they know the camp and enjoy its incredible atmosphere all the more!
María, Camp Mom - Perillo, A Coruna, Spain.
Wow! I am loving the letters, though few of them, that I am getting from my daughter, Olivia. She has really found a home at your camp... Without being too melodramatic, your camp has literally been life-changing for [my child.]
Nancy, Camp Mom - Berwyn, PA.
My daughter is having an absolutely fabulous time... I have been so impressed with your staff, the pictures of the activities on Facebook and the general atmosphere that you create in your camp. I'm completely jealous that I can't attend too!
Mary Rose, Camp Mom - Wyomissing, PA.
Of course, we were delighted with William's performance; but all the kids were so good, and now that we know some from last year, it's nice to see how they've grown and become more skilled and confident. We had a great time.
Bruni, Camp Mom - Brooklyn, NY.
We all just can't stop talking about it... From the rough start he had last year, to the smiling kid we watched rock out last night, he has really grown.
Chad, Camp Dad - Hatboro, PA.
